Dilworth Tasting Room Specials
Dilworth Tasting Room is offering new weekend brunch service at both locations — DTR SouthPark (Saturdays and Sundays 10:30am-2:30pm) and DTR Plaza Midwood (11am-3pm). They're also featuring Blind Tasting Tuesdays with whiskey and wine flights, plus Uncorked Thursdays with half-off select wine bottles. The expanded schedule positions them as a go-to for weekend gatherings and date nights.
The original Dilworth Tasting Room opened in 2017 in a building that once housed Dilworth Billiards for 35 years. Owner Jaffer Kovic, a sommelier, and his wife Zorana drew inspiration from their Croatian roots and Mediterranean travels to create the wine bar's concept. Each of the three locations is designed to reflect its neighborhood's character. The original location on Tremont Avenue is known for its charming garden patio featuring a koi pond, while the SouthPark location, which opened in 2021 in the former Corkbuzz space, offers a more polished atmosphere. The newest Plaza Midwood location, which opened in August 2024, leans into an Art Deco, South Beach-inspired vibe with a 1,300-square-foot all-season patio. This location aims to honor the neighborhood's "groovy" identity in the face of rapid development. The new brunch menu at the Plaza Midwood and SouthPark locations features dishes like Banana Bread Pancakes and a Buffalove Chicken Sandwich. A seasonal Pumpkin Brunch menu has also been introduced, with items like Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice Waffles. For the Blind Tasting Tuesdays, guests can test their palates with a flight of three mystery wines and a small charcuterie board for $25. A whiskey flight option with three 1-ounce pours is also available for $30, and correctly guessing all three selections wins a $25 gift card. The culinary direction for all locations is led by Chef Jonathan Shuler, who creates seasonal menus focused on coastal Croatian and Mediterranean flavors. The beverage program, curated by Bar Director Alejandro Ibanez, complements the food with both classic and inventive cocktails.
