Ramen & Bao Restaurant Opening in Farmington
A new restaurant, Ramen & Bao, is scheduled to open at The Shops at Farmington Valley. The new eatery will add to the dining options at the Canton shopping center and is expected to open sometime in 2026.
- This will be the third location for Ramen & Bao, which has an existing restaurant in Oxford and another planned for Cheshire. The menu combines Japanese, Taiwanese, and other Asian influences, featuring items like handmade soup dumplings, scallion pancake wraps, and Taiwanese fried chicken. - The restaurant will be situated in a courtyard location across from Blo Blow Dry Bar at the open-air shopping center on Route 44. It will offer both full-service dining and carry-out options. - The Shops at Farmington Valley is owned by Massachusetts-based WS Development and contains over 45 shops and restaurants. - The addition of Ramen & Bao is part of a significant expansion at the shopping center, which saw the opening of Sweetgreen, Warby Parker, FP Movement, and J.Crew Factory in 2025. - A Shake Shack is also planned to open at the shopping center in the summer of 2026, occupying the former Sleep Number space next to Chipotle. - The center has recently welcomed other new businesses, including VIO Med Spa, which offers aesthetic medicine and wellness services. - The property housing The Shops at Farmington Valley has a long history in Canton, originally serving as a farm with a dairy barn built by Deacon Obed Higley in the late 1700s. The iconic barn is still a landmark at the center.
