Superteam Wheels Inks GCN Italia Deal
Chinese carbon fiber wheelset maker Superteam Wheels announced a three-year strategic partnership with GCN Italia, the Italian channel of the Global Cycling Network. The deal is designed to significantly expand Superteam's presence in the European cycling market.
Established in 2015, Superteam is the direct-to-consumer brand of Xiamen Baiyexing Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. This parent company has a history of serving as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for other international first-line brands, giving it extensive experience in carbon fiber production. The brand has built a reputation for producing cost-effective carbon wheelsets, with prices for some models starting at around $350. This pricing strategy targets amateur riders and those looking for an affordable upgrade from standard aluminum wheels. This deal with GCN Italia is part of a broader European marketing strategy, following successful partnerships with GCN's French and Spanish channels in 2025. The collaboration will involve co-created content, including professional product reviews and showcases of real-world riding experiences. Global Cycling Network (GCN) is the largest online cycling channel in the world, and its Italian-language channel, GCN Italia, has a dedicated following of over 238,000 subscribers on YouTube. The partnership will leverage GCN Italia's influence across multiple social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. The collaboration aims to tap into Italy's deeply rooted cycling culture, a market with millions of active cyclists. The content will be specifically tailored to the perspectives and needs of Italian cycling enthusiasts to showcase Superteam's technology and product value. Superteam has obtained UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) certification for some of its wheelsets, a key credential for a market with a strong focus on racing and performance. The GCN en Español channel has previously highlighted that Superteam wheels are certified by the UCI.
