Bronco updates roll out

Ford expanded Bronco customization—Badlands now offers six painted roof options for new bi-color looks—and the El Bandito RTR Bronco scored a win at the 2026 FAT Ice Race while the Bronco Raptor dominated this year’s King of the Hammers, underlining the platform’s off-road cred 2026 Ford Bronco Badlands Gets Six Painted Roof Options El Bandito RTR Ford Bronco Prevails At 2026 FAT Ice Race.

Each hard-top painted-roof option is priced at $500 ([fordauthority.com)], and the Badlands trim itself starts at $48,890 before destination and fees ([fordauthority.com)]. Those painted roofs are a late-availability change that will roll in as Job 2 production, not at initial VIN build ([fordauthority.com)], and the multi-color choices are restricted to four-door Badlands models only ([fordauthority.com)]. Carbonized Gray is the唯一 roof shade offered across every Badlands body color ([fordauthority.com)], while Oxford White roof pairing is locked to Oxford White bodies and cannot be mixed with other hues ([fordauthority.com)]. Orange Fury’s tri-coat roof remains standard when the body is Orange Fury but can be ordered only with Avalanche Gray as a contrasting roof, and Velocity Blue roof availability is limited to a small set of body colors per Ford’s options matrix ([fordauthority.com)]. Ford’s 2026 order guide and Build & Price updates reflect the model-year color shuffles and option changes, and the updated options were noted in the Model Year order guide coverage published when Ford released the 2026 ordering information ([thebronconation.com)]. The 2026 exterior palette also added Avalanche and Wimbledon White while removing Eruption Green, Robin’s Egg Blue and Azure Gray from Badlands choices ([fordauthority.com)]. RTR’s El Bandito was campaigned at the FAT Ice Race in Big Sky by Loren Healy, who posted a 35.712-second lap in the time-attack and a 36.804-second Shootout lap on his way to two class wins ([fordauthority.com)]. El Bandito runs a 5.2L V8 tuned to just over 1,000 horsepower, sat on 42-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers and received more than 4,000 studs across the tires to find traction on ice and snow ([fordauthority.com)]. To adapt the desert-ready build for winter, the RTR crew shortened the Fox suspension travel (short-strapping) to improve control on slippery surfaces and reworked setup specifics for ice racing lines ([fordauthority.com)]. The same El Bandito package that handles triple-digit desert runs was therefore materially revised for the FAT Ice Race, underscoring how much setup rather than just power mattered in the Montana conditions ([fordauthority.com)]. Ford Racing debuted the Bronco Raptor 4600 in public at King of the Hammers and scored a 1–2 finish in the Ultra4 4600 stock class with Brad and Adam Lovell taking the win and Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy finishing P2 ([fordauthority.com)]. That result extended Ford’s streak to five consecutive wins in the 4600 stock-class run at Johnson Valley, a metric Ford Racing cites when validating changes for production Bronco Raptor models ([fordracing.com)].
