SiteGround Launches AI App Builder for SMBs
Web hosting platform SiteGround has launched Coderick AI, a tool aimed at small businesses. The AI-powered app builder is designed to remove the technical and cost barriers to creating custom software.
Coderick AI operates on a "vibe coding" principle, allowing users to build applications by describing their needs in natural language through a chat interface. This approach is designed to translate user intent directly into the app's user interface and backend logic without requiring any programming knowledge. SiteGround's key differentiator in the growing AI app builder market is the integration of its hosting infrastructure. Unlike many tools that generate code and leave the user to handle deployment, Coderick bundles hosting, database setup, version control, and security into a single workflow, making applications production-ready from the start. The platform is capable of creating a wide range of applications, from portfolios and business websites to more complex internal tools like CRMs, project dashboards, inventory trackers, and client portals. SiteGround emphasizes that these are not just prototypes but are built to handle real-world user traffic and business demands. The service is offered with a 14-day free trial that allows users to build and test a project with a credit limit of 50,000 and 3GB of storage, though publishing the app requires a paid plan. Paid tiers start at $10 per month (billed annually) for an "Essential" plan, scaling up to a "Pro" plan at $40 per month with increased project limits and resources. This launch positions SiteGround, a company with over two decades of experience in web hosting, to compete with other AI-native challengers by offering a more holistic solution. The move reflects a broader trend of hosting companies evolving into all-in-one platforms that cover the entire process from idea to live application.
