- Tel Aviv Grill operates other locations in the San Fernando Valley, including another spot in Encino, as well as eateries in Valley Village and Woodland Hills. - The owner, Itzik Luzon, is a veteran restaurateur in the area, having previously relocated his flagship restaurant to Encino, where it replaced Itzik Hagadol Grill. - The existing Tel Aviv Grill locations serve a Glatt Kosher menu centered on Israeli street food, with proteins like chicken shawarma, schnitzel, and house kabab offered in a pita, laffa, baguette, or as a plate. - In addition to their grill concept, the ownership group also runs the Tel Aviv Fish Grill in Tarzana, which specializes in Israeli fish preparations like deep-fried red mullet, served with a variety of "tapas" style side dishes. - Plans submitted to the city for the new 18047 Ventura Boulevard location, initially under the name "Alenby," detail a remodel of the 2,200-square-foot interior and the conversion of a 780-square-foot outdoor dining area. - A managing partner for Tel Aviv Grill, Or Peleg, has noted that as the brand has grown from its origins as a small kosher market stand, its biggest challenge has been maintaining consistency. - The new restaurant joins a growing number of Israeli and Mediterranean eateries along Ventura Boulevard, which has become a competitive corridor for the cuisine in the San Fernando Valley.
