McDonald's is again celebrating Detroit's "313 Day" with a special meal and sweepstakes. The "313 Day Meal" is available from March 9th through March 13th at participating McDonald's locations in Southeast Michigan. "313 Day" is an unofficial holiday on March 13th that celebrates all things Detroit, named after the city's original area code. The day is marked by music, food, art, and historical events around the city. This year, McDonald's has partnered with Detroit native designer and artist Allison Sims for the event. Sims designed a limited-edition 313 Day t-shirt that customers can receive with the purchase of the special meal on March 13, while supplies last. Customers who purchase the "313 Day Meal" also receive a QR code for a chance to win a suite experience at a Detroit Pistons game for themselves and 17 guests. The prize includes McDonald's merchandise and a pre-game experience. McDonald's has a long history of community involvement in Detroit, including support for Detroit Public Schools, police and fire department initiatives, and neighborhood park cleanups. They also support the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit through various fundraising efforts. Local McDonald's owner-operators are committed to the long-term growth of Detroit, investing millions in restaurant modernization and creating employment opportunities. The "Black & Positively Golden Change Leaders" program is another initiative that empowers young Detroiters. The 313 Day meal includes a Double Cheeseburger, small fries, and a Strawberry Shake. In 2025, the 313 Day meal included a Double Filet-O-Fish, four-piece McNuggets, a medium fries and a Vernors Boston Cooler. McDonald's has been celebrating Detroit's 313 Day for several years, often with limited-edition merchandise and collaborations with local businesses. This year marks the first time the event includes a sweepstakes.
