McDavid Hits 100 Points Again

Connor McDavid reached 100 points for the 9th time in his career, extending his streak to 6 straight seasons. The milestone post from the NHL drew over 5,000 likes as fans celebrated witnessing greatness.

This latest achievement places McDavid in truly elite company, as he is now third all-time for the most 100-point seasons in NHL history. He trails only Wayne Gretzky, who had 15 such seasons, and Mario Lemieux with 10. The Oilers captain reached the century mark for the 2025-26 season with a goal and an assist in an 8-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. This performance made him the first player to hit 100 points during the current season, accomplishing the feat in just 60 games. His current totals for the season are 35 goals and 65 assists. Of those 100 points, a significant 40 have come on the power play. The only seasons McDavid failed to reach 100 points were his rookie year, which was shortened to 45 games by a broken collarbone, and the COVID-19-shortened 2019-20 season, where he finished with 97 points in 64 games. This marks his sixth consecutive season hitting the 100-point plateau. His remarkable run includes a career-high 153 points (64 goals, 89 assists) in the 2022-23 season.
