D2C Firm Varvee Global Turns Profitable
Varvee Global, a direct-to-consumer company, achieved profitability in the third quarter of 2026. The milestone was accompanied by a twofold increase in revenue. This result provides a recent benchmark for profitability in India's D2C sector.
- The Ahmedabad-based textile manufacturer reported a Q3 net profit of ₹5.34 crore, a significant turnaround from a net loss of ₹6.94 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. - This profitability follows a strategic shift away from commoditized denim towards higher-margin, value-added non-denim shirtings and suitings. - The company, formerly known as Aarvee Denims and Exports Ltd., became debt-free in June 2025 after a strategic restructuring and leadership transition. - Led by Chairman & Managing Director Jaimin Gupta, Varvee Global is in a high-growth phase, having recently increased its non-denim fabric production capacity by 50% to 18 lakh meters per month. - The improved performance is reflected in its nine-month gross margin, which hit 84.49%, a complete reversal from negative margins in the prior year. - The company's turnaround includes a 99.99% reduction in finance costs in Q3 after retiring high-cost legacy debt. - This result occurs as India's broader D2C market is projected to reach $100 billion by the end of 2025.
