The Anniversary Update celebrates 11 years of the Cities: Skylines franchise. The update includes the Iceflake Arena, a commercial building that hosts concerts and hockey games. The arena provides a city-wide attractiveness boost and a well-being boost within a two-kilometer radius, and even features a sauna. The update also adds a zoning toggle, inspired by zoning mods, that allows players to remove zoning from roads. Players can remove zoning from one or both sides of a road. Iceflake Studios is seeking player feedback for future development of this feature. An in-game encyclopedia has also been added, providing information about the game without the need to leave the game. The encyclopedia expands on tutorials and includes a search function.
