Curry had been out since December 4 due to irritation in his left sciatic nerve, missing 40 games. This was only his third game of the season. The injury was initially a minor back pain that gradually worsened to the point where he could barely move for a month. Curry said he "just couldn't move" and spent that time "just laying at home". Golden State will be cautious with Curry, ruling him out of Tuesday's game against the Chicago Bulls for injury management. The Warriors lost to the Utah Jazz 119-116 despite Curry's efforts. Curry's return provides a boost to the Warriors, who are currently ninth in the Western Conference. His shooting depth could be valuable with Stephen Curry also recovering from a knee injury.
