Kehlani tops Adult R&B chart

Kehlani has ascended to the top of the Adult R&B Airplay chart, while Brent Faiyaz's latest album debuted at number one on the R&B Albums chart. Jill Scott's continued chart presence demonstrates the enduring appeal of established R&B voices alongside newer artists dominating the genre.

Kehlani's chart-topper on the Adult R&B Airplay chart is the track "Folded." This marks her first-ever number one on this specific chart, adding to a successful run for the single. "Folded" previously became Kehlani's first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number seven. The song also secured Grammy wins for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song earlier in the month. Brent Faiyaz's new album, "Icon," debuted at number one on the Top R&B Albums chart with 58,000 streaming-equivalent units sold in its first week. The album also entered the overall Billboard 200 chart at number six. The 10-track album was executive produced by the legendary Raphael Saadiq and features no guest appearances. Several tracks from "Icon," including “Butterflies” and “Wrong Faces,” have individually entered the Hot 100 and R&B Streaming Songs charts. Jill Scott's latest album, "To Whom This May Concern," recently debuted at number 10 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. This release keeps her impressive 25-year streak of top 10 entries on that chart alive. The album's debut marks Scott's ninth project to appear in the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums' top 10, a run that started with her 2000 debut "Who Is Jill Scott?".
