This stems from concerns about vendors restricting AI use, as seen in a previous dispute between the Department of Defense and Anthropic. The aim is to ensure AI systems prioritize accuracy and objectivity. While the Senate embraces AI, each office retains independent decision-making power regarding AI usage.
