Confluence adds visual AI
Atlassian is turning Confluence from a document tool into a place you can generate visuals and call agent helpers directly inside the doc, shrinking the gap between briefing and first-draft assets. Atlassian just moved Confluence one step closer to being the place where work starts and the first draft of the output gets made too. On April 8, 2026, it said Confluence pages can now spawn charts, infographics, diagrams, prototypes, apps, and presentations from the same source document. The usual next step was copying that text into a design tool, a slide builder, or a coding tool to make something people could actually use. Those agents tie Confluence to Lovable for prototypes, Replit for starter apps, and Gamma for presentation materials.
