Cornwall College Eyes Football Double

Cornwall College's quest for a senior football 'double' in the 2025-2026 season concluded with a hard-fought runner-up finish in the Ben Francis Cup final in December 2025, where they were defeated 2-0 by Clarendon College. This was the team's first season under the guidance of new head coach and former national midfielder, Hector Wright. The team showed significant promise throughout the tournament, with a notable semi-final victory over McGrath High where forward Shakeem Gibson scored both goals. The path to the final also included a tense quarter-final match against Manchester High that was decided by a 4-2 penalty shootout victory. Key players for Cornwall College during the season included top striker Carlondo Morris, who shared the golden boot trophy in the daCosta Cup, and goalkeeper Carlyle Tinglin, who was a hero in the penalty shootout against Manchester High. Deshaun Talbert captained the squad.
