Sting Expands 'Sting 3.0' Tour
Sting has announced additional dates for his 'Sting 3.0' tour across North America, reflecting strong demand for the former Police frontman. Social media buzz shows he's adding 2x Montreal dates (Oct 26-27), Vancouver, and Seattle. The expanded tour underscores his ongoing influence in both classic and modern rock circuits.
The "Sting 3.0" tour name reflects a return to a power trio format, reminiscent of his time with The Police. Sting plays bass and is joined on stage by his long-time guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, known for his work with Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers. The tour's setlist is a blend of Sting's solo career and his work with The Police. Audiences can expect to hear classics like "Message in a Bottle," "Every Breath You Take," and "Roxanne" alongside solo hits such as "Englishman in New York" and "Fields of Gold." Beyond the newly added dates, the fall leg of the tour includes a special six-night residency at the historic Brooklyn Paramount. The recently reopened venue first opened in 1928 and has previously hosted legendary artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. The added Montreal performance at Théâtre St-Denis holds historical significance; it's the same venue where Sting first played in the city with The Police nearly five decades ago. Coinciding with the tour, Sting has released a new live album titled "STING 3.0 LIVE." The album, available digitally, on CD, and vinyl, features a previously unreleased live version of "Be Still My Beating Heart." For those looking to attend the new shows, members of Sting's Fan Club have access to a presale beginning March 3. The general on-sale for the public starts on Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local time.
