Milan Design Week lineup
Milan Design Week (April 20–26) will mix fashion and object design, including a C.P. Company x Alessi collaboration that reimagines the morning‑coffee ritual across homeware and matching apparel. The city program also features 10 Corso Como as a hub with Moncler pop‑ups and unusual Fuorisalone venues like a historic private residence and an abandoned pool ( ).
Milan Design Week opens in Milan on April 20 with a lineup that pushes fashion labels deeper into furniture, objects and branded installations. (fuorisalone.it) The 2026 citywide program runs April 20 through April 26, alongside Salone del Mobile, with events spread across Milan rather than in a single fairground hall. Fuorisalone’s official guide lists 786 events, while Archiproducts says last year’s edition counted more than 1,000 promoted events, 1,600 designers and 2,209 brands. (fuorisalone.it; archiproducts.com) One of the clearest examples of the fashion-object crossover is the new Alessi and C.P. Company project at the C.P. Company showroom on Via G. Fiamma 18, scheduled for April 21 to April 25. C.P. Company says the installation is titled “BLEND: The Kinetic Pulse of Italian Industrial Mastery,” and the related collection goes on sale during Design Week and online and in flagship stores from April 21. (cpcompany.com) That pairing lands in a week built around brands using design to tell a broader lifestyle story, not just launch a chair or a lamp. Archiproducts describes Fuorisalone as a citywide network of independently organized exhibitions and installations, while the official Fuorisalone guide frames this year’s theme as “Be the Project.” (archiproducts.com; fuorisalone.it) 10 Corso Como is leaning into that mix by turning its spaces into a multi-brand route across fashion, design and jewelry during the week. Brera Design Week says Moncler will take over the gallery with its new summer collection, while Cassina collaborator Linde Freya Tangelder, Visionnaire, Imperfettolab and Kinraden will also appear across the site. (breradesignweek.it) The venue itself carries weight in Milan because 10 Corso Como, founded in 1991, is widely credited with helping define the “concept store” format that mixes shopping, exhibitions and hospitality. Brera Design Week says its secret garden will also host Garage Italia Customs projects during the 2026 program. (breradesignweek.it) This year’s map also leans on unusual locations that are normally closed or overlooked. Wallpaper reports that new Fuorisalone venues include Villa Pestarini, a Modernist private home completed in 1939, and Piscina Romano, an abandoned public swimming complex. (wallpaper.com) That use of villas, palaces, courtyards and former industrial sites is part of how Fuorisalone differs from the trade fair at Rho. Archiproducts says the off-fair format began spontaneously in the early 1980s, when Milanese companies and showrooms started opening their spaces to the city during Salone week. (archiproducts.com) By April 26, the week will have tested the same idea across coffee makers, jackets, gallery pop-ups and one-off interiors: in Milan, design season now runs as much through fashion addresses and temporary stages as it does through the furniture fair itself.
