Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location
The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette is continuing its U.S. expansion, opening a new franchise location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The brand, which has over 4,000 locations worldwide, is rapidly growing its footprint in the Dallas area.
The new Richardson store is the 25th Paris Baguette location in Texas, a key state in the company's aggressive North American expansion. The South Korean bakery giant aims to operate 1,000 stores in the U.S. by 2030, a significant jump from its current presence of over 280 cafes. This latest opening is part of a five-unit development agreement by franchisees Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal, two Dallas-based couples who are long-time fans of the brand. Another Dallas-area franchisee couple, Rahul and April Rai, have also signed a four-unit deal, with locations planned for Arlington, Mansfield, Allen, and McKinney. Fueling this rapid growth is a new $165 million, 267,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. Expected to be completed in 2027, the plant will supply fresh dough and products to cafes across North America, reducing reliance on overseas imports and creating approximately 450 local jobs. Paris Baguette, owned by the Seoul-based SPC Group, was founded in 1988 and has grown into a global powerhouse with over 4,000 locations. The company's strategy focuses on a neighborhood bakery café feel, with items baked fresh in-store daily. The menu offers a blend of French-inspired pastries and breads with unique Asian flavors. Popular items include the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake, croissant donuts, and savory options like the crab meat croquette, alongside expertly brewed coffee.
