Axiom Launches $52M AI Venture Fund

Axiom Partners launched a $52M oversubscribed AI venture fund for early-stage practical AI applications pulse2news.

Axiom Partners' $52M fund focuses on "AI for the Real World," aiming to broaden access to essential services like healthcare, education, and financial guidance. The fund will target seed-stage investments. The firm's investment strategy addresses the "capacity crunch," using AI to bridge the gap in access to expertise and specialized services. Axiom aims to improve the quality of life for billions, not just a select few. Axiom was founded by Sandhya Venkatachalam, previously a partner at Khosla Ventures and Social Capital. Venkatachalam was an early investor in Groq, which recently finalized a $20 billion deal with Nvidia. The Axiom team includes Evan Morikawa, former Head of Engineering at OpenAI, and Kipp Bodner, Chief Marketing Officer at HubSpot. The fund is backed by eight institutional investors and AI leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Nvidia, and AMD. Axiom's debut fund has already invested in Limy AI, a company focused on business and productivity software. In 2024, AI startups secured approximately one-third of global venture capital, demonstrating strong market dominance. Seed rounds for AI startups benefit from a 42% premium in valuations.
