India, Israel Deepen Cyber Alliance

India and Israel have elevated their relationship to a "Special Strategic Partnership," signing new Memorandums of Understanding. The agreements focus on deepening cooperation in cybersecurity, defense, and artificial intelligence.

This strategic partnership includes a Letter of Intent for a new India-Israel Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity to be established in India. The center, a collaboration between Israel's National Cyber Directorate (INCD) and India's NCIIPC, will focus on joint research, human capital development, and enhancing operational readiness through joint cyber exercises. The collaboration leverages Israel's renowned cyber ecosystem, which includes expertise from elite military intelligence units like Unit 8200, with India's large technology talent pool and expanding digital infrastructure. The multi-year strategic program aims to integrate "Security by Design" principles and use AI in cyber defense to bolster the security of critical infrastructure.
