Prada is bringing its Prada Frames symposium back to Milan on April 19 to 21, 2026, inside Santa Maria delle Grazie, the church complex linked to Leonardo da Vinci’s *The Last Supper*. (wwd.com) This year’s edition is titled “In Sight,” and Prada said the program will examine image-making, including the environmental, social, economic, and political effects of digital images. The talks are free with preregistration, and the event includes guided tours of the site. (wwd.com) Prada Frames is curated by Formafantasma, the design studio founded by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, and 2026 is its fifth edition. Wallpaper reported the symposium has run during Milan Design Week since 2022 and has focused each year on a different research theme rather than a product launch. (wallpaper.com) The venue shifts the event from last year’s train setting to a religious and art-historical landmark in central Milan. Santa Maria delle Grazie is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site that includes the Dominican convent refectory where Leonardo painted *The Last Supper* between 1495 and 1498. (whc.unesco.org) (cenacolovinciano.org) That location puts a discussion about images inside a place already defined by one of the world’s most studied images. UNESCO describes the complex as begun in 1463 and reworked in the late 15th century by Donato Bramante. (whc.unesco.org) The timing also places Prada slightly ahead of the main Fuorisalone calendar. Fuorisalone’s official guide says Milan Design Week 2026 includes hundreds of events across the city, while other published guides place the broader week from April 20 through April 26 or April 30, depending on the program counted. (fuorisalone.it) (archiproducts.com) (internimagazine.com) Formafantasma has framed the 2026 subject around trust in pictures at a moment when human-made and machine-made images increasingly blur together. WWD reported the organizers describe Prada Frames as a place where different forms of knowledge meet, with speakers drawn from several disciplines. (wwd.com) The event keeps Prada in a part of Milan Design Week where brands use architecture, exhibitions, and talks to shape cultural identity as much as sell objects. At Santa Maria delle Grazie, Prada is doing that in one of Milan’s most protected settings, for three days before the city’s design crowds hit full volume. (wallpaper.com) (legraziemilano.it)
