Miele is taking a kitchen concept called “Designed to Move with You” to Milan Design Week 2026, framing the room as a connected living space that adapts to daily routines. (prnewswire.com) The company said on April 13 that the concept will run across two Milan sites: its booth at EuroCucina and the redesigned Miele Experience Center in the Brera Design District. EuroCucina, the kitchen-focused section of Salone del Mobile, runs April 21 to 26, 2026. (prnewswire.com) (salonemilano.it) The idea is to make kitchen technology work more like background assistance than a control panel. Miele said its appliances are meant to “anticipate needs, adapt, and evolve,” with smart functions built into the room rather than presented as separate gadgets. (breradesigndistrict.it) Miele tied that pitch to specific products. It said the new KM 8000 induction hob works with M Sense cookware, which has as many as three temperature sensors, to automatically adjust heat and power so food does not burn or boil over. (prnewswire.com) The company is also using the show to preview a steam drawer that is 14 centimeters high and can pair with a 45 centimeter compact oven with microwave in a 60 centimeter niche. Miele said the setup is a space-saving “3-in-1” solution and that the steam drawer is due in March 2027. (prnewswire.com) Another part of the installation targets smaller homes. Miele’s “Compact Living: Kitchen Unit powered by Hettich” is a design study for a multifunctional kitchen furniture system built for tight urban spaces, where cooking, dining, and work functions increasingly overlap. (prnewswire.com) (breradesigndistrict.it) Miele is also adding software to the pitch. It said a tool called CulinaryCoach uses artificial intelligence to answer cooking questions, suggest preparation steps, and send settings directly to connected appliances. (prnewswire.com) That aligns with the themes organizers are attaching to EuroCucina this year. Salone del Mobile says the 2026 edition reflects hybrid living, outdoor use, sustainability, and artificial intelligence in the kitchen. (salonemilano.it) The Brera installation adds a consumer-facing layer to the trade fair booth. Brera Design District said Miele’s Experience Center at Corso Garibaldi 99 will host the concept from April 21 to 26, alongside show cooking and daily pastry sessions with Fòla.
