Pediatric vaccine clinic at BDNC South Lawndale

Chicago’s health department is running a pediatric vaccine clinic Monday, April 20, at BDNC South Lawndale on West Cermak Road. (chicago.gov) The event is at BDNC South Lawndale, 251 W. Cermak Rd., and offers flu shots, COVID-19 shots, and routine childhood vaccinations for children ages 6 months and older, according to the Chicago Department of Public Health. (chicago.gov) Chicago’s standing immunization clinics also provide routine childhood vaccines for patients from birth through age 18, and the city says its clinics have the 2025-26 seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines in stock. (chicago.gov) The city says those routine childhood shots are available with no out-of-pocket cost for uninsured, underinsured, Medicaid-insured, and Children’s Health Insurance Program patients. Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available at city clinics for any Chicago resident regardless of insurance status. (chicago.gov) Routine pediatric vaccination means the standard schedule of shots children get from infancy through age 18 to protect against diseases such as measles, whooping cough, polio, and hepatitis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention publishes that schedule and updates it when recommendations change. (cdc.gov) The Chicago Department of Public Health also runs four immunization clinics citywide and says some vaccines, including COVID-19, flu, measles-mumps-rubella, and mpox, are available to Chicago residents regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
