ROBAM Showcases Kitchen AI Products at KBIS 2026
Appliance manufacturer ROBAM is presenting its latest kitchen products featuring artificial intelligence at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando. The company, which claims to be a global bestseller for 11 years, is using the major industry exhibition to display its newest innovations.
- The company's AI is centered on a "Culinary Master AI Mega Model" that functions as a "kitchen brain." It uses sensors to detect changes in temperature, air quality, and flue pressure, creating a closed loop of perception, thinking, and action to automate appliance responses. - The flagship product is the new R-Max 3 range hood series, which features a maximum air volume of 1400 CFM and a maximum static pressure of 1200 Pa to address smoke and odor issues common in North American open kitchens. - Beyond range hoods, ROBAM also produces the R-Box Combi Steam Oven, a countertop appliance with up to 20-in-1 functionality that includes steaming, air frying, baking, and grilling. - ROBAM's focus on AI comes as competitors also lean heavily into the trend at KBIS 2026; Samsung, for example, is showcasing its Bespoke AI Refrigerator that uses internal cameras and "AI Vision" to recognize food items. - The AI product launch follows a period of financial growth for the publicly traded parent company, Hangzhou Robam Appliances (002508), which reported a 9% revenue increase to $1.5 billion in 2023. - This is not the company's first product to be highlighted at the industry show; a previous version of its R-Box Combi Steam Oven was selected as a finalist for the "Best of KBIS" award. - After eight years in the North American market, ROBAM is using its AI push to rebrand as "Your AI Cooking Companion," aiming to build an ecosystem of hardware, software, and content.
