Electric Forest Adds Phase Two Artists
Electric Forest revealed phase two of its 2026 lineup, introducing several new artists to its already eclectic roster. The festival, known for its immersive production and diverse mix of electronic genres, remains a pilgrimage destination for fans of EDM, jam, and experimental music.
The second wave of artists adds to an already stacked lineup featuring headliners like ILLENIUM, Excision, KASKADE, and GRiZ. Newly announced acts include electronic favorites Galantis and Lane 8, experimental artist Yaeji, and a unique collaboration called Deadtronica, featuring Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits. This year marks the 14th edition of Electric Forest, which will take place from June 25-28 in Rothbury, Michigan. The festival has grown significantly from its origins as the Rothbury Festival in 2008, which saw an attendance of about 30,000 people. Produced by Insomniac Events and Madison House Presents, the event is known for more than just its musical lineup. The festival grounds at the Double JJ Resort are famed for the immersive Sherwood Forest, which features numerous art installations and interactive experiences. The festival's initial lineup already promised a diverse range of genres, from electronic and jam bands to indie and global sounds. Mainstays The String Cheese Incident are scheduled to perform multiple times, a tradition for the band that has been with the festival since its inception as Electric Forest in 2011. Attendance for the festival in recent years has been estimated to be between 40,000 and 50,000 people, creating a vibrant temporary community often referred to as the "Forest Family." The phase one announcement included a rare B2B (back-to-back) DJ set from Shaquille O'Neal (DJ Diesel) and T-Pain, highlighting the festival's penchant for unique and unexpected collaborations. Beyond the music, Electric Forest offers a variety of experiences, including workshops and the ability to explore the expansive Double JJ Resort, which spans over 2,000 acres.
