Jack White's standout set
Jack White delivered one of the weekend’s most praised Coachella sets despite not being on the lineup two weeks earlier, and Consequence published his setlist including “That’s How I’m Feeling,” “Fell in Love With a Girl,” “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground,” “Old Scratch Blues” and “G.O.D.” — he also announced a 2026 North American tour starting in July. Jack White turned a last-minute Coachella booking into one of Weekend 1’s most discussed rock sets on Saturday, April 11. (consequence.net) He was added to the festival on April 7 for a 45-minute Mojave stage slot that began at 3:00 p.m., just four days before he played. Coachella’s official 2026 lineup page now lists White among this year’s artists. (consequence.net) (coachella.com) Consequence reported that White used the set for 14 songs drawn from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and his solo catalog, including “That’s How I’m Feeling,” “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground,” “Icky Thump,” “Ball and Biscuit,” “Steady, as She Goes” and “Seven Nation Army.” NME reported that the performance ran about an hour, longer than the originally announced 45 minutes. (consequence.net) (nme.com) The set landed in a Coachella slot that has recently been used for unannounced or late-added acts. Consequence noted that Weezer, blink-182 and Arcade Fire had filled that Mojave surprise window in past years. (consequence.net) White’s timing also lined up with a new release cycle. NME reported that he played the new songs “G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico” after releasing them the week before and performing them on Saturday Night Live. (nme.com) The Coachella appearance also fed directly into a new tour push. Consequence reported that White had just announced a 2026 North American tour, and Ticketmaster says the run includes 27 shows with general sales starting Friday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. local time. (consequence.net) (ticketmaster.com) Ticketing pages already show July dates in the United States, including a July 23 stop at Radius in Chicago and an October 7 show at The Bomb Factory in Dallas. White’s official site also lists a 2026 European run beginning May 30 in Sigulda, Latvia. (axs.com 1) (axs.com 2) (jackwhiteiii.com) Coachella’s second weekend runs April 17 through April 19, and the festival’s official livestream page says performances from all seven stages will stream on YouTube and in the Coachella app. White’s first-weekend set turned a four-day booking into a festival talking point before Weekend 2 even begins.
