Schneider Electric, Coca-Cola Honored for Sustainability

EcoVadis has announced the winners of its 2026 Sustainability Achievement Awards. Schneider Electric and Siegwerk were recognized for excellence in sustainable procurement, while individuals from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Caldic BV were honored for their leadership.

The EcoVadis awards highlight a growing trend of integrating sustainability deep into corporate supply chains, moving from policy to measurable performance. Schneider Electric's win for "Best Mature Program" reflects a long-term strategy that has seen significant results. By the end of 2025, the company helped its customers save or avoid 862 million tonnes of CO₂, surpassing its 800 million tonne target. A key part of Schneider Electric's success is its "Zero Carbon Project," which focuses on the operational carbon footprint of its top 1,000 suppliers. This initiative contributed to a 56% reduction in CO₂ emissions from those suppliers by the end of 2025. The company's comprehensive approach also ensures that 98% of its strategic suppliers adhere to decent work standards. Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks, received a Gold Medal rating from EcoVadis in 2025 for its "HorizonNOW" sustainability initiative. The assessment highlighted the company's strong environmental performance, driven by its emissions reduction targets and the development of circular packaging solutions. A significant milestone for the company was achieving 100% renewable electricity usage in 2023. The awards also recognized individual leadership in driving sustainable change. Vitanya Keary, Global Procurement Sustainability Manager at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, was honored for her role in guiding the company's EcoVadis program since 2018. Her leadership was crucial in navigating a complex post-merger integration while strengthening supplier collaboration. Filip Orlinski, ESG Director at Caldic BV, was another individual recognized for his leadership. Under his guidance, Caldic achieved a Platinum EcoVadis rating, placing it in the top 1% of all companies assessed. The specialty chemical distributor has seen significant progress across its subsidiaries, with 19 Platinum and 16 Gold local ratings by the end of 2025. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has been actively working to embed sustainability within its procurement processes. The company requires its strategic suppliers to undergo an EcoVadis assessment and aims for them to achieve a minimum overall score of 50, with a goal of improving to above 65. This is part of their broader "This is Forward" sustainability action plan, which targets net-zero emissions by 2040. Caldic's sustainability strategy focuses on reducing risk, improving transparency, and creating opportunities for stakeholders. The company has invested in renewable energy, waste reduction, and the development of smarter, more sustainable product formulations for its customers. The EcoVadis rating methodology assesses companies across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The platform's medals are awarded based on a percentile rank, with Platinum going to the top 1%, Gold to the top 5%, Silver to the top 15%, and Bronze to the top 35% of companies evaluated.
