Chanhassen AutoPlex opens its private garage-condo campus to the public on Saturday, April 25, for the first Cars & Caves show of its 2026 season. (chanhassenautoplex.com) The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon at 8150 Audubon Road in Chanhassen, with gates opening at 7:30 a.m. Organizers say admission is free and the show runs rain or shine. (chanhassenautoplex.com) Many of the site’s 120 garage condominiums will be open for viewing, and visitors can buy coffee, other beverages and food while meeting owners on the campus. The AutoPlex says spectators can arrive in everyday cars. (chanhassenautoplex.com) A garage condominium is a privately owned storage-and-work space for vehicles, and Chanhassen AutoPlex says its owners use the units to store, restore and display collector cars and motorcycles. The complex describes itself as the first private garage-condo community of its kind in Chanhassen. (chanhassenautoplex.com 1) (chanhassenautoplex.com 2) Cars & Caves runs on the last Saturday of each month from April through September, turning a normally private property into a recurring public car show near Minneapolis-St. Paul. Explore Minnesota lists the event among the state’s car-show offerings and describes the format as owners opening their garages to visitors. (chanhassenautoplex.com) (exploreminnesota.com) The April show accepts classic, collector, muscle, antique, street rod and exotic vehicles, plus vintage motorcycles, for display inside the show area. The event page says non-vintage, non-exotic import cars will be directed to spectator parking because space is limited. (chanhassenautoplex.com) This month’s charity partner is Wishes & More, a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) that says it serves children with terminal or life-threatening conditions and supports their families. Chanhassen AutoPlex says each Cars & Caves show is tied to a different charity and that its events have raised more than $20,000 for charities over time. (chanhassenautoplex.com 1) (chanhassenautoplex.com 2) For 2026, the season page says each monthly show will feature a theme and a center-campus spotlight on selected makes. Organizers also posted new safety rules asking attendees not to stand along exit streets or encourage revving, aggressive acceleration or burnouts. (chanhassenautoplex.com) The April 25 show is the first public opening in a season that the AutoPlex says runs through September. For one morning, the “caves” are the draw as much as the cars parked inside them. (chanhassenautoplex.com) (chanhassenautoplex.com)
