Nscale Raises $2B for AI Infrastructure

UK AI hyperscaler Nscale raised a record $2B Series C, valuing it at $14.6B, with backing from Citadel, Jane Street, Nvidia, Dell, and Point72. The funds will be used to accelerate AI infrastructure across Europe, NA, and Asia—a sign that major trading firms are doubling down on high-performance compute. Nscale also added former Meta executive Nick Clegg to its board.

Nscale, founded in 2024, specializes in building AI-ready data centers and deploying large-scale GPU infrastructure. They offer high-performance AI cloud services, co-designing data centers and GPU superclusters. Nscale was also tapped by OpenAI to build Stargate Norway, the European arm of OpenAI's global data center program. The Series C round was led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries. Additional investors included Astra Capital Management, Dell, Jane Street, Linden Advisors, Lenovo, Nokia and Nvidia. Nscale also secured a $1.1 billion Series B round in September 2025 led by Aker. Nick Clegg, the former UK Deputy Prime Minister and Meta executive, joins Nscale's board along with Sheryl Sandberg, ex-COO of Meta, and Susan Decker, the former president of Yahoo. Clegg left his role as president of global affairs at Meta in early 2025. Nscale has existing data centers in the UK, US, Norway, Portugal and Iceland. They also have an agreement with Microsoft to deploy approximately 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs across Europe and the US. The European AI infrastructure market was valued at $17.99 billion in 2025 and is estimated to reach $140.24 billion by 2034.
