Anyma’s Surprise Do Lab Set

After his Friday headline ÆDEN show could not go ahead, Anyma is scheduled to close the Do Lab stage on Sunday with Marlon Hoffstadt as a surprise set. ( ). Anyma confirmed the full ÆDEN production — a year in the making and intended as a global debut after his Sphere residency — will not be rescheduled for the weekend. ( )

Anyma is closing Coachella Weekend 1 after all, with a surprise back-to-back set with Marlon Hoffstadt at the Do Lab on Sunday night. (variety.com) The set was scheduled for 10:45 p.m. Pacific time on April 12 at the Do Lab, the dance-focused stage known for late surprise bookings during the festival. The Do Lab announced it with the line, “Let’s end at the beginning.” (variety.com) Anyma had been booked to close the main Coachella Stage just after midnight on Friday, April 10, but organizers canceled that performance about 15 minutes after its scheduled start. Coachella and Anyma said strong winds were affecting the stage build. (billboard.com) The canceled show was the planned world premiere of ÆDEN, a new live production Anyma said he and his team had spent a year building. On April 12, he said the full production would not be rescheduled during Weekend 1 because there were no available time slots. (edm.com) That left Sunday’s Do Lab appearance as a replacement of a different kind: not the full visual rollout, but a club-style back-to-back set with Hoffstadt. Regional festival coverage described it as the closing set for the Do Lab on the final night of Weekend 1. (presstelegram.com) The switch also changed the scale of the moment. Anyma’s Friday slot was meant to introduce ÆDEN in the desert after his “The End of Genesys” run at Sphere in Las Vegas, where his official site says he played eight sold-out nights before four final shows in early 2025. (anyma.com) Anyma, the solo project of Matteo Milleri, has built its audience around large-format visuals as much as DJ sets. Sphere Entertainment described the project as an audio-visual show built from music from *Genesys* and *Genesys II* alongside new material and custom visuals. (sphereentertainmentco.com) Hoffstadt brings a different lane of dance music to the pairing. Variety identified him as a Berlin-based DJ and producer, turning the Sunday booking into a cross-scene set rather than a one-for-one replay of Friday’s canceled headliner slot. (variety.com) Anyma is still listed to play Coachella’s second weekend, which runs April 17 to April 19, 2026. Weekend 1, though, ended with a smaller stage, a different format and a set that arrived only after the original show was lost to the wind. (billboard.com)
