The upcoming Year of the Horse, which begins on February 17, 2026, marks a rare Fire Horse year, an event that occurs only once every 60 years. In Chinese culture, the horse symbolizes strength, success, and perseverance. This year's celebration is expected to be marked by forceful change and transformation. Jordan Brand's 2026 "Year of the Horse" collection embraces this symbolism with a more sophisticated and wearable aesthetic compared to the louder 2014 collection. The pack features at least five silhouettes: the Air Jordan 1 Low, Jordan Legacy 312 Low, Jordan Session, Jordan Flight Court, and the Jalen Hurts-endorsed O/S Trunner. Designs incorporate earthy tones and materials like faux pony hair and saddle-inspired leather overlays. The brand continues to build on its roster of signature athletes, including recent stars like Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, and Zion Williamson. Dončić, the first non-American player to receive a signature Jordan shoe, is set to release his advanced Luka 5 model. This follows the debut of Jayson Tatum's first signature shoe, the Tatum 1, in 2023. Teyana Taylor's Air Jordan 3 "Concrete Rose," set for a March 7, 2026 release, is her second major project with the brand, following her 2023 Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2. The design continues the narrative of a rose growing from concrete, a metaphor for overcoming struggle that is central to her work. The shoe features a muted green leather upper and a rugged, textured midsole that resembles cement. While Jordan Brand has a packed release schedule, a notable "glossy spiderweb-patent" design is emerging from a different collaboration. The brand Sp5der, founded by musician Young Thug, is teaming up with adidas for a Superstar release. The shoe features a full glossy black patent leather upper with spiderweb graphics debossed into the material.
