Gushwork AI Raises $9M for Marketing Automation
AI marketing startup Gushwork has raised $9M in seed funding. The investment reflects continued investor confidence in vertical SaaS companies that apply generative AI and agentic automation to specific business processes like marketing.
The latest funding round was led by Susquehanna International Group (SIG) and Lightspeed, with participation from B Capital, Seaborne Capital, Beenext, Sparrow Capital, and 2.2 Capital. This brings Gushwork's total funding to $11 million, following a $2.1 million pre-seed round in July 2023, and values the company at $33 million post-money. Founded in 2023 by Nayrhit Bhattacharya and Adithya Venkatesh, Gushwork initially focused on outsourcing complex operational workflows for businesses by combining AI with a human workforce. The company has since pivoted to focus specifically on search-driven marketing solutions after observing high demand from clients for better online visibility. Gushwork's platform utilizes a network of AI agents to automate marketing workflows. These agents generate and optimize content for discovery on AI-powered search platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, in addition to traditional search engines. The service also includes building backlinks and tracking inbound leads through an integrated CMS. This approach of using autonomous AI systems that can reason, plan, and execute tasks to achieve marketing goals is known as agentic marketing. Instead of following predefined rules, these AI agents dynamically adapt strategies based on data to personalize customer outreach and improve marketing ROI. The startup primarily targets high-value B2B service providers, industrial distributors, and contract manufacturers in the United States. Subscription plans start at $800 per month, with the average customer paying between $800 and $900 monthly. Gushwork has seen rapid early traction, acquiring over 300 paying customers and reaching a $1.5 million annualized recurring revenue (ARR) within three months of launching its AI search-focused product. The company reports that 80% of its customers see a 500% increase in website impressions and a 50% rise in inbound leads within 60 days. The new capital will be used to expand the engineering team, enhance the accuracy of its AI models, and scale its go-to-market operations. Gushwork currently has a waitlist of over 800 businesses.
