Johnny Knoxville's connection to South-Doyle High School runs deep; he graduated in 1989 when it was known as South Young High School. The school later merged with Doyle High. During his time there, he played baseball and received All-Knoxville Interscholastic League Honorable Mention honors. Knoxville's childhood friend, Randy Moore, is now the athletic director at South-Doyle and reached out for support. Seeing the weight room's outdated equipment, Knoxville partnered with Sorinex to create a "Knoxville Strong" apparel line to raise funds. The weight room reportedly has 25-year-old equipment, concrete dumbbells, and holes in the benches. The "Knoxville Strong" collection includes t-shirts ($30) and hoodies ($50) featuring unique designs. One design includes a skull wearing Knoxville's signature red, white, and blue headband. All proceeds from the collection will be donated to South-Doyle High School. Knoxville also launched a sweepstakes and auction in partnership with Charitybuzz tied to the release of a new Jackass movie. The prize package includes tickets to the premiere, a red carpet photo opportunity, tickets to the after-party, and lunch with Knoxville. Knoxville said that helping out a school in South Knoxville is the top of his list and worth his time.
