UGREEN Launches Thunderbolt 5 Docks
UGREEN has launched two new Thunderbolt 5 docking stations in the U.S. aimed at power users and creators. The lineup includes a Maxidok 17-in-1 and a 10-in-1 model, offering the latest standard's increased speed and multi-display support for demanding professional workflows.
Thunderbolt 5 doubles the total bidirectional bandwidth to 80Gbps, a significant jump from the 40Gbps of Thunderbolt 4. Furthermore, a feature called Bandwidth Boost allows for up to 120Gbps for display-heavy workloads, a considerable advantage for high-resolution and multi-monitor setups. The UGREEN Maxidok 17-in-1 is aimed at power users, featuring an integrated M.2 SSD slot for up to 8TB of expandable storage. This flagship model also boasts 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, a 312MB/s SD 4.0 card reader, and delivers up to 140W of power to a connected laptop via a 240W power adapter. For those with more streamlined needs, the 10-in-1 model provides dual Thunderbolt 5 ports, three 10Gbps USB-A ports, a DisplayPort, and Gigabit Ethernet. It offers up to 100W of charging for the host computer from a 140W power adapter. This new standard also doubles the PCI Express data throughput to 64Gbps, which will benefit users connecting external high-speed SSDs and eGPUs. Thunderbolt 5 increases the maximum power delivery to 240W, a substantial increase from the 100W cap of Thunderbolt 4, enabling the charging of more power-hungry devices. On macOS, these docks can drive dual 6K displays or a single 8K display, while Windows systems can support up to three independent displays. Pre-orders for both docking stations began on the UGREEN official store on March 6, 2026, with availability on Amazon starting March 24, 2026.
