Classic FM Rising Stars 2026

Classic FM celebrates its "Rising Stars 2026" list, spotlighting 30 classical musicians under 30 who are making an international impact. The list represents emerging talent across various classical music disciplines and performance categories.

- The "Rising Stars" list was conceived by world-renowned cellist and conductor Julian Lloyd Webber during the COVID-19 lockdown to support talented young musicians who were unable to perform live. - In addition to the list, a television special is produced in partnership with Sky Arts, showcasing performances from a selection of the Rising Stars. - Canadian cellist Bryan Cheng is among the 2026 honorees; he is a prize-winner at both the Queen Elisabeth and Geneva International Music Competitions. - American soprano Jazmine Saunders is also on the 2026 list and is a part of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. - The 2025 list included artists such as cellist Zlatomir Fung, who was the youngest American to win first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition Cello Division, and conductor Adam Hickox, the Principal Conductor of The Glyndebourne Sinfonia. - Past featured artists have gone on to sign with major record labels, including violinist Esther Abrami with Sony Classical, trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary with Warner, and violinist Randall Goosby with Decca Classics. - The selection of 30 musicians under the age of 30 aims to highlight a new generation of artists noted for their exceptional technique, creativity, and musicality. - The initiative is a key part of Classic FM's mission to make classical music accessible and to champion new and emerging talent in the industry.
