HockeyStack backs revenue agents

HockeyStack said Wednesday it raised new funding that brings its total capital to more than $50 million and launched a product it calls Revenue Agents for the Enterprise. (prnewswire.com) The San Francisco company said the round included Bessemer Venture Partners, Y Combinator, and Uncorrelated Ventures. HockeyStack said it will use the money to expand product development and grow engineering, sales, customer success, and marketing. (prnewswire.com) Revenue operations software is the layer companies use to track leads, sales activity, and customer handoffs across marketing and sales systems. HockeyStack’s pitch is that those records should not just sit in dashboards; software agents should use them to decide what to do next on each account and deal. (bvp.com, prnewswire.com) HockeyStack says older customer relationship management systems still rely on a field-by-field record structure that dates back to Salesforce’s founding in 1999. Its alternative is an event-based model that logs customer actions as they happen, such as ad clicks, website visits, sales touches, and product use. (prnewswire.com, ycombinator.com) That architecture is the basis for the new agent product. HockeyStack said its “Blueprint” model pulls patterns from structured data like customer records and unstructured data like notes, then assigns agents to deals and accounts to recommend actions, trigger workflows, and flag moments for sales representatives. (prnewswire.com) The company has been moving in that direction for more than a year. In January 2025, Bessemer led a $20 million Series A, and HockeyStack said it was adding two earlier agents, Odin for analytics questions and Nova for account scoring, research, and workflow automation. (bvp.com, hockeystack.com) HockeyStack said it has grown to more than 300 customers in less than two years. Its website lists case studies and customer logos including Outreach, RingCentral, Yext, Tipalti, DataRobot, 8x8, and Mastercard. Y Combinator’s company page says HockeyStack built its business around mapping customer touchpoints from ad impression to closed deal and upsell across customer relationship management, advertising, web, and product systems. (ycombinator.com) The bet in this round is that sales teams will buy software that does the cleanup and follow-up work inside revenue systems, not just the measurement. HockeyStack is now trying to turn the data layer it built for attribution and reporting into a system that acts on its own. (prnewswire.com, bvp.com)
