Ringo Starr Drops New Album
Beatles legend Ringo Starr is releasing a new 10-track album called 'Long Long Road' on April 24, following up his 2025 record 'Look Up'. The announcement came with a peace message, affirming the 80-something drummer's ongoing creative vitality with no pre-announcement or rollout.
'Long Long Road' marks Starr's second collaboration with producer T Bone Burnett, who also co-wrote six of the album's ten tracks. Their creative partnership began with the 2025 country album 'Look Up', which was Starr's first No. 1 on the UK's official country chart. The new album continues the country and Americana sound of its predecessor, with recording sessions taking place in Nashville and Los Angeles. The first single, "It's Been Too Long," features vocals from contemporary roots musicians Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz. A host of notable guest artists contribute to the record, including Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, and bluegrass guitarist Billy Strings. This follows a similar collaborative spirit on 'Look Up', which featured artists like Alison Krauss and Larkin Poe. The tracklist includes a cover of "I Don't See Me in Your Eyes Anymore," originally performed by rockabilly pioneer Carl Perkins. Starr, a long-time fan, had previously covered Perkins' songs "Honey Don't" and "Matchbox" with The Beatles. In support of the new music, Starr is scheduled to tour with his All-Starr Band. The current lineup for the tour includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, and Buck Johnson.
