Whoop, known for its fitness trackers, has launched a performancewear fashion line in partnership with designer Samuel Ross [https://www.vogue.com/article/why-fitness-tracker-whoop-has-launched-a-fashion-line-with-samuel-ross]. The new collection integrates wearable tech directly into clothing, aiming to make fitness tracking more seamless and stylish. Can't wait to see the designs.
The "Project Terrain" line is Whoop's first performance design collaboration, with Samuel Ross serving as Global Creative Director. Ross, who founded SR_A and previously A-Cold-Wall*, has also worked with Nike, Converse, and Apple. The collection will feature limited-edition Whoop bands and apparel with built-in sensor pockets. Ross's design studio SR_A is also joining Whoop as an investor, alongside figures like Niall Horan and Cristiano Ronaldo. In turn, Whoop will support SR_A's Black British Artist Grant and host a recipient for an in-house design residency. The partnership aims to blend wearable tech with high fashion. The collaboration extends Whoop's existing "Body" line, which integrates "Any-Wear Technology". This technology allows users to wear the Whoop 4.0 sensor in various locations on the body, not just the wrist. Garments in the "Body" line include sports bras, compression tops, and athletic boxers. The new collection will roll out in limited edition drops starting this year and continuing into 2028.
