New Edition Extends Tour with R&B Legends
New Edition has extended their "The Way" Arena Tour, adding six additional dates and bringing along Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton. The expansion comes in response to strong ticket demand for this all-star R&B lineup. The new dates are expected to sell quickly given the legendary status of all three acts.
The "New Edition Way Tour," initially a 30-city run, is adding more dates due to high demand, a testament to the enduring appeal of all three legendary acts. The tour's name itself is a nod to the group's recent honor in their hometown of Boston, where a street in their native Roxbury neighborhood was renamed "New Edition Way." This hometown recognition came as the group also celebrated a nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2026 class. The tour's success is reflected in its ranking on Pollstar's Live 75 chart, which tracks active tours based on average ticket sales. The newly added dates include a second performance in Atlanta, as well as new stops in Columbia, SC, Tampa, and Sunrise, FL, Louisville, KY, and a return to Brooklyn, NY. The original 30-city leg of the tour kicked off on January 28, 2026, in Oakland, California. This tour marks a significant moment as it brings New Edition together with Boyz II Men, a group they directly influenced and whose career was launched in part by New Edition member Michael Bivins. Boyz II Men, known for record-breaking hits like "End of the Road" and "I'll Make Love to You," have sold over 64 million albums worldwide. The lineup is completed by seven-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton, an icon who has sold over 70 million records with timeless ballads such as "Un-Break My Heart" and "Breathe Again." Collectively, the three acts on "The Way" Arena Tour have sold more than 100 million albums globally.
