AI Sales Platform Firmable Raises $14M Series A
Firmable, an AI-powered sales platform, has raised a $14M Series A to expand its operations globally beyond its APAC roots. The company's platform automates sales workflows, including prospecting, lead qualification, and proposal generation, aiming to reduce manual work and increase pipeline velocity for sales teams.
The Series A round was led by Airtree, a venture capital firm with a portfolio that includes unicorns like Canva and Airwallex, signaling strong conviction in Firmable's potential to scale from the APAC region to a global market. This funding follows a $9M seed round from Airtree in 2024 and nearly doubles the company's post-money valuation to almost $100M. The capital is aimed at fueling U.S. expansion, developing AI sales agents, and enhancing sales data capabilities. Firmable was co-founded by Leigh Jasper, Paul Perrett, and Karthik Venkatasubramanian, the leadership team behind Aconex, which was acquired by Oracle for $1.6 billion in 2018. Their experience in building a massive proprietary dataset at Aconex is a core component of Firmable's strategy, creating a defensible data moat that differentiates it from competitors who often rely on less accurate, U.S.-centric data. The platform focuses on "buying signals" to help sales teams identify high-intent prospects at the right time. It tracks real-time triggers like leadership changes, funding events, hiring surges, technology shifts, and external search behavior to provide a clearer view of buyer readiness. This allows sales teams to move beyond static lists and prioritize outreach with greater confidence. Firmable's AI agents automate tasks such as enriching CRM records, prioritizing accounts, and even drafting outreach. This shifts the sales process from manual research to precision outreach, with customers like Monday.com and DHL reporting 85-90% success rates in reaching decision-makers. The goal is to augment sales teams, not replace them, by allowing reps to focus on building relationships and closing deals. The platform's deep localization for the APAC market, with specific mapping for Australian and New Zealand business numbers, addresses a significant gap left by global competitors like Apollo.io and Lusha. With over 1,000 customers, Firmable has established a strong foothold in eight APAC markets and now plans to enter the U.S. market. The Indian B2B SaaS market is experiencing significant growth, with revenues projected to reach over $26 billion by 2026. This expansion is driven by a strong talent pool in AI engineering and increasing digital adoption by small and medium-sized businesses. For GTM leaders selling to HR tech, the Indian market is seeing a surge in cloud-based HR solutions to manage challenges like compliance, payroll, and a distributed workforce. AI is fundamentally changing B2B sales by enabling hyper-personalization at scale and automating routine tasks. Companies that fully implement AI can see sales productivity increase by up to 40%. Signal-based selling, which focuses on the 5% of a target market ready to buy at any given time, is becoming a key strategy for efficient GTM execution.
