Cyclist Completes Four-Year World Tour

Andreas Graf completed a four-year cycling journey around the world, traversing multiple continents while living minimally out of a tent. Graf described the experience as "the life I've always dreamed of," highlighting the profound fulfillment possible through long-term adventure and minimalist travel.

- The journey, which began in April 2022 from his home in Norway, was initially planned as a nine-month trip to India. However, Graf decided to continue, ultimately extending his adventure to five continents, 50 countries, and a total distance of 55,000 kilometers. - He returned home on December 23, 2025, after three years and eight months of continuous travel. - Graf faced significant challenges, including cycling through the Sahara and Australian deserts where temperatures exceeded 40°C, forcing him to carry up to 38 liters of water, making his bike weigh 87kg. - In Colombia, after cycling nearly the entire 10,000km length of the Andes, he crashed, breaking his wrist, which required surgery to insert a titanium plate and eight screws. - His route took him from Europe through the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Central Asia to India and Nepal, where he took a month-long break to volunteer on a coffee farm. - After Southeast Asia, he cycled across Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand before flying to Chile and traversing South America, and finally flying to Senegal for the last leg of his journey back to Norway. - Before embarking on his journey, Graf worked a well-paid job in industrial engineering but chose to leave behind his career and partner for a life of minimalist travel.
