Bayer and country singer Luke Bryan launched a new food-security campaign on May 13, saying the company will donate 1 million meals through Feeding America as part of a 2026 push focused on rural communities. The effort is tied to Bryan’s Farm Tour events in California this week and includes public food-collection events in Clovis and Elk Grove, according to Bayer. The California rollout runs May 14-16 and starts with a Walmart community food drive in Clovis on Thursday, followed by additional collection at Farm Tour stops in Clovis on May 15 and Elk Grove on May 16, Bayer said. Fans are being asked to donate canned goods and other non-perishable items at designated drop-off points. (bayer.com) Feeding America is the national nonprofit network receiving the meal donation, and Bayer said the campaign is intended to expand access to food and nutrition in rural America. Charles Blazevich, senior manager of corporate partnerships at Feeding America, said in Bayer’s release that food insecurity in rural communities can limit access to affordable, nutritious food. (bayer.com) Bayer said the partnership with Bryan began in 2015 and has now contributed more than 11 million meals to Feeding America member food banks. The company also said last year’s campaign collected more than 16,000 pounds of food, which it described as roughly 13,300 meals, and included an additional $5,000 contribution to each partner food bank. (bayer.com) Luke Bryan’s 2026 Farm Tour includes three California shows in Shafter, Clovis and Elk Grove from May 14 through May 16, according to Bayer’s Farm Tour page. Bayer is again listed as the presenting sponsor of the tour, continuing a relationship the company says has run for more than a decade. Bayer’s Farm Tour page also says the 2026 campaign includes a “Can-Do Challenge” for registered California FFA chapters. (bayer.com) The contest asks chapters to build canned-food displays tied to American heritage or agriculture, then donate the food locally; Bayer said the grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 grant and a possible meet-and-greet with Bryan. (bayer.com) One A Day, a Bayer brand, is also part of the campaign, which Bayer said is meant to reinforce the link between food access and nutrition. The company framed the initiative as part of its broader “Health for All, Hunger for None” program in the United States. (bayer.com) The next public events are the Farm Tour food collections in Clovis on May 15 and Elk Grove on May 16, with donations benefiting Central California Food Bank and Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Bayer said. Additional campaign details and local participation information are posted on Bayer’s U.S. site. (bayer.com)
