Wynn Al Marjan Resort Progress
Construction of the Wynn Al Marjan mega-resort remains on schedule for early 2027 opening, marking the Gulf's first casino. The project will create over 2,700 jobs across hospitality, tourism, and support services. The US-based hotel and gaming operator confirmed rapid progress on both construction and pre-opening planning phases.
- The integrated resort is a joint venture with local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC, carrying an estimated total investment of $5.1 billion. - A major construction milestone was reached in the fourth quarter of 2025 when the 70-story hotel tower, standing over 305 meters tall, was fully topped out. - The resort will feature approximately 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas, alongside 22 to 24 restaurants and lounges, a luxury spa, and a high-end shopping esplanade. - While the casino is a key feature, its gaming floor will occupy about 4% of the resort's total area; Wynn Resorts has secured a 15-year exclusive casino license for Ras Al Khaimah. - To oversee the new sector, the UAE has established a federal body, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), which has issued the project its official operator license. - The development is a catalyst for wider infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of the 548-meter "Wynn Bridge" to connect the resort directly to the mainland and major highways. - Projections indicate the resort will play a key role in attracting over 3 million tourists to Ras Al Khaimah annually by 2030, with property values in the area having already seen significant increases since the project's announcement.
