Creative 3D Technologies Raises $5M

Creative 3D Technologies has raised $5 million in a new funding round. The company aims to scale its modular, factory-grade manufacturing system, making advanced fabrication tools more accessible for small businesses and workshops without requiring large capital investment.

- The company recently relocated its headquarters and manufacturing operations to a new 18,000-square-foot facility in Cedar Park, Texas, a move expected to create approximately 45 jobs. - This latest $5 million seed round was led by investors including NJP, MetaLucks, Sher, Greenwood, and Tech Bricks. - Founder and CEO, Ethan Baehrend, started the company in 2017 and launched its first product in 2020 shortly after graduating high school. - The company's core technology, termed "Single-Cell Manufacturing," aims to consolidate an entire factory line into a single modular "Factory-in-a-Box" unit. - Early pilot programs for their technology have included deployments with the US Army and Disney. - A portion of the new funding is allocated to the research and development of a semiconductor-focused "Fab-in-a-Box" platform for producing specialty and prototype microelectronics. - The company's flagship platform, named the EVO system, is a large-format additive manufacturing machine designed to process industrial-grade materials such as polymers, composites, and metal-filled filaments.
