Greyhound moves to Cherry Hill Mall
Greyhound is relocating its South Jersey bus stop to Cherry Hill Mall, joining FlixBus operations already at the mall, a move local outlets and social posts reported. (Local TV coverage and social updates documented the relocation and the mall as the new pickup point.) (6abc.com; x.com)
Greyhound has moved its South Jersey stop from Westampton to Cherry Hill Mall, where buses now pick up on Route 38 near Haddonfield Road. (6abc.com) The change took effect Wednesday, according to local coverage, and puts Greyhound at the same mall stop already used by FlixBus. Greyhound’s station page now lists Cherry Hill at 2000 New Jersey Route 38. (6abc.com; greyhound.com) Greyhound tells riders to wait in the surface lot with FlixBus signs across Haddonfield Road from Midas Auto Repair Shop, using the mall exit near Build-A-Bear Workshop. FlixBus lists the same pickup point. (greyhound.com; flixbus.com) The move folds Greyhound into the FlixBus setup already operating at Cherry Hill Mall. Greyhound’s location-features page says some Greyhound stops are operated by partner companies and can be branded FlixBus. (6abc.com; greyhound.com) For riders, the biggest change is geography: Westampton is about 12 miles from the Cherry Hill stop listed on Greyhound and FlixBus pages, and Cherry Hill sits closer to Camden and Philadelphia. Both carriers group the stop under “Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,” even though the boarding point is in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. (greyhound.com; flixbus.com) Cherry Hill Mall has been marketing FlixBus service from its Haddonfield Road parking lot, turning a shopping center into an intercity bus pickup point. The mall’s directory says the stop is in the parking lot by Haddonfield Road. (cherryhillmall.com) The mall is also tied into local transit. The New Jersey Transit 405 bus serves Cherry Hill Mall, with stops at the upper level by Old Navy and LensCrafters and service to the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden. (transitapp.com) Greyhound’s Cherry Hill page says the stop is not a ticket sales point, so riders are expected to arrive with tickets already in hand and be there 15 minutes before departure. That leaves Cherry Hill Mall as a curbside-style stop, not a staffed terminal. (greyhound.com) The result is a simpler map for South Jersey riders: one mall parking lot, one set of signs, and both Greyhound and FlixBus departures leaving from the same Cherry Hill address.
