Slice House Pizza Coming to Fremont

A new Slice House location is set to open soon in Fremont's Pacific Commons shopping center. The expansion was announced by Mayor Raj Salwan as part of the city's ongoing effort to broaden its dining options for residents.

Slice House is the creation of 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, who grew up in Fremont. Before becoming a celebrated San Francisco restaurateur, he learned to cook with fresh ingredients from his family's farm. Gemignani's pizza-making skills have earned him global recognition, including a win at the Food Network Pizza Champions Challenge. The restaurant is known for its fast-casual model, offering various artisanal pizza styles by the slice or as a whole pie. This allows customers to sample different types, such as New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma styles, all in one visit. The menu also includes options like salads, pastas, and wings, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Gemignani launched the Slice House franchise program in July 2022, and it has been rapidly expanding, with over 140 locations open or in development. The concept proved particularly successful during the pandemic due to its takeout and delivery-friendly format. The new Fremont location will be in the Pacific Commons shopping center, a large retail district that includes anchors like Target, Costco, and Lowe's. It will join a variety of other eateries in the center, such as In-N-Out Burger, Five Guys, and The Kebab Shop.
