Swae Lee Solo Album Drops April 3rd
Swae Lee announced his debut solo album "Same Difference" releasing April 3rd with lead single "FLAMMABLE" already out. This marks a new creative chapter for the Rae Sremmurd member, showcasing his trademark melodic hooks and genre-blending style as a solo artist.
This isn't Swae Lee's first venture into solo territory. In 2018, he released "Swaecation" as one of three discs in Rae Sremmurd's triple album, "SR3MM". That project was a departure from the duo's sound, leaning more into melodic R&B and themes of love and heartbreak. While part of a group, Swae Lee has built a formidable resume as a featured artist and songwriter. He co-wrote Beyoncé's Grammy-nominated hit "Formation" and lent his vocals to French Montana's diamond-certified single "Unforgettable". His contributions often provide the melodic hook that becomes a song's signature. His most significant solo success to date is the 2018 collaboration "Sunflower" with Post Malone for the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" soundtrack. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first in RIAA history to be certified double-diamond (20x platinum). Swae Lee and his brother Slim Jxmmi formed Rae Sremmurd (their label "EarDrummers" spelled backward) in Tupelo, Mississippi. They were the first act signed to producer Mike WiLL Made-It's label, EarDrummers Records, in 2013, quickly gaining fame with platinum hits like "No Flex Zone" and "No Type".
