Cognizant, Google Cloud Expand AI Pact
Cognizant has announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud focused on operationalizing "agentic AI" for large enterprises. The collaboration aims to help businesses deploy governed, large-scale AI systems using Cognizant's proprietary tools built on Google's cloud platform.
- This expanded partnership is part of Cognizant's broader commitment to invest $1 billion in generative AI over the next three years. - Cognizant will train over 70,000 of its associates on Google Cloud's AI offerings to enhance the software delivery lifecycle for clients. - The collaboration will integrate Google's Gemini models into Cognizant's internal platforms and its Flowsource developer platform to accelerate code writing, testing, and deployment. - To facilitate enterprise adoption, Cognizant is establishing dedicated Gemini Studios in its Cloud AI Innovation hubs in London, Bangalore, and Plano, Texas, and Gemini Centers of Excellence in Mexico and Romania. - A key component of the collaboration is the use of Cognizant's proprietary "Agent Foundry" platform, which includes no-code tools to help clients deploy AI agents for use cases like intelligent order management. - This agreement builds on a partnership that began in May 2023 and was previously expanded in August 2023 to focus on creating large language model solutions for the healthcare industry. - Internally, Cognizant is deploying Google Workspace with Gemini Enterprise to improve its own operational productivity and employee experience before offering a similar combined solution to clients. - The collaboration also extends to customer service, where Cognizant will leverage Google Cloud's Contact Center AI (CCAI) platform to improve call center interactions through capabilities like conversational AI and visual IVR.
