South Florida opens its 2026 spring football game Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Corbett Stadium, giving fans their first live look at the Bulls under new head coach Brian Hartline. (gousfbulls.com) USF Athletics says gates open at 2 p.m., parking is free in Yuengling Center lots 22D, 22E, 22F, 23A and 23B, and tickets cost $10 for the general public and $5 for season-ticket members. The game is presented by LifeLink and will air on 1010 AM and Bulls Unlimited, with no television listing in the official preview. (gousfbulls.com) The official game-day plan includes a kids zone, inflatables, face painters, balloon artists, a photo booth, a mobile gaming truck and appearances by the Herd of Thunder band, cheerleaders and the Sun Dolls. USF says fans can also visit a street fest area outside the stadium before kickoff. (gousfbulls.com) On the field, the biggest question is quarterback, with Hartline saying the race is down to Michael Van Buren Jr. and Bryce Archie. The USF preview said Van Buren started 10 games at Mississippi State in 2025, while Archie threw for 2,578 yards and 19 touchdowns at Coastal Carolina in 2024 before transferring. (gousfbulls.com) The spring game also serves as a public checkpoint for a roster that Tampa Bay Parenting said mixes “many new players” with returners from a 9-4 team that reached a bowl for a third straight season. USF’s 2026 schedule lists a season opener against Boise State on September 5 at Raymond James Stadium. (tampabayparenting.com) (gousfbulls.com) Corbett Stadium has become a regular spring venue while USF builds its $349 million on-campus stadium and football operations center just north of the site. In the official preview, Hartline said the new facility should open in 2027. (gousfbulls.com) USF said Corbett has drawn capacity crowds onto its stands and grass berms in each of the last three spring games. That setup has turned the event into both a football scrimmage and a campus showcase as the program pushes toward its first full season in an on-campus stadium. (gousfbulls.com) Hartline said the event will be “graded” and treated differently from a normal practice, even with an emphasis on keeping players healthy through the end of spring. For fans, Sunday is the closest thing to a live progress report before preseason camp opens later this year. (gousfbulls.com)
