Aston Martin just unveiled the higher-performing Vantage S super sports car, generating serious buzz for its enhanced capabilities over the standard Vantage. The S variant promises to deliver more track-focused performance while maintaining daily drivability.

The "S" designation on an Aston Martin signifies a more focused and potent machine, a tradition that continues with the latest Vantage S. This isn't just a badge; it represents a comprehensive upgrade to the car's performance and handling characteristics, aimed at drivers seeking a sharper edge. Powering the Vantage S is a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, now tuned to produce up to 671 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. This increase in power, combined with an optimized launch control system, drops the 0-60 mph acceleration time to a blistering 3.3 seconds. The top speed is a claimed 202 mph. Beyond the engine, Aston Martin engineers have focused on the chassis and aerodynamics. The Vantage S features a solid-mounted rear subframe for a more direct steering feel and connection to the road. Specific adjustments to the suspension's camber, toe, and caster settings have been made to improve front-end grip and overall agility.
